We are fully aware of the benefits offered by the Internet to promote and market products; we have our
own web site for this sole purpose. However, the purchase of a fire and fireplace can be complex and
requires a level of expertise to ensure the correct product is supplied. We provide advice and information
from trained and experienced staff. Internet Sales do not provide this level of advice.
We use our own transport and can be flexible with delivery times for your convenience. Buy on-line and the
delivery times are not flexible. You will probably have to wait in all day, especially since carriers tend to be
used.
We can show you colour samples, actual fireplaces and products and demonstrate how the products work.
On-line you cannot see or touch the products so how do you really know what you are buying?
We have our own Gas Safe registered installers who will install at your convenience; they will notify Gas
Safe who will then issue you with the relevant certificate for your homeowners pack. On-line web sites don't
offer you an installation service.
When you purchase a fireplace from us you can be secure in the knowledge that any problems will be
rectified swiftly and at minimum inconvenience. When you buy from the Internet you may not be told when
you can expect delivery until a few days before. You will need to inspect and sign for the delivery. If you
have a problem you will be left to sort it out directly with the Internet site.
We will arrange for the manufacturers to call or in some cases will call ourselves. When you buy on-line
how do you sort out a problem once its been delivered?
Bring a copy of any Internet offers you find on-line, together with confirmation of the total delivered price
and the Internet site you have found it on and give us a try. You may be surprised. Internet sites do not
offer the same level of service as an independent retailer that is why they are cheaper.....but not always.
Often high delivery charges are added so the total cost inclusive of VAT and delivery needs to be
considered.
Finally, is it fair to research products through retailers who have made financial investments in their
showroom displays and training their sales advisers, but not buy from them? Can you trust the security the
internet supplier has in place to protect your personal and financial details?
